Welcome to the month where we celebrate and honour Mother Earth!
The snow has mostly melted (if you live in parts of the Northern Hemisphere) and we can once again stand on Her with our bare feet.
Feel Her soothing resonance.
In April, we typically find greater awareness around reducing waste with a focus on plastic, minimizing our carbon footprint, planting more trees/bushes/flowers, joining a local ‘clean up’, and other truly amazing initiatives to Protect our Planet.
In addition, I invite you to consider deepening your connection to Mama Gaia physically.
If you’re a client, there’s a good chance I’ve given you ‘Earthing’ as homework. It’s one of my favourite ways to encourage and develop a grounding practice.
What the heck is Earthing?
It’s as easy and standing on grass or earth with your bare feet. Double down by closing your eyes and taking some deep belly breaths. Pay attention to any sensations in your body.
Getting your bare feet on the earth for even a few short minutes effects us; we receive transference of electrons (which act as anti-oxidants) and the natural energy flow replenishes us, just like recharging a battery..
There are numerous health benefits from grounding, like reduced stress and cortisol levels, better circulation, pain relief, and improved sleep and immunity.
We also feel positive grounding effects from a Nature Walk or Forest Bath, hugging a tree (if you know me, you know I love this), or putting your feet in the lake or an ocean.
