All the wisdom that you ever need, lives within you.

I was a guest on a podcast last week and was asked the question ‘what learning would you share with a younger version of yourself’?

This was my answer.

It was not always my truth though. It’s taken time, and work, to not only know this with my mind, but know it in my heart, and body. To trust it.

Now, this doesn’t replace learning, this wisdom is different, it’s your inner knowing. It could be used, for example, to guide you to understand which learning would be best for your highest good.

As women, we lost our connection to our inner wisdom through deep patriarchal conditioning.

We have been taught to look externally for answers, made to believe that our knowing wasn’t of value, it was wrong (or even evil), and certainly not to trust it.

This wasn’t always the case.

If we go back long before Patriarchy (which is actually only about 3000 years old), women’s wisdom was crucial to everyone’s survival. When decisions needed to be made – whether about where to hunt, planting cycles, healing the sick, or navigating conflicts – the community would turn to women for direction.

And young girls were taught at an early age to honour their inner voice, and trust the flutter in their belly or the goosebumps on the back of their neck. Imagine what could be possible in our world if we revered this divine feminine knowing, and wove it together with the divine masculine!
