Here we are in 2023, January behind us.

I’ve personally found the start of this year a little sticky.

Astrologically there was a lot going on last month, and I recognize that the more I deepen into this work, the more my body feels the seasons and flows in tune with the earth.

Gentle reminder that we are in the season of hibernation, slowing down, going inwards.

Give yourself permission to say no, listen to your body.

You may experience conflicting feelings around wanting to do all the things, yet your body is whispering something else to you.

For example, I sat down to write this a few times over the last three weeks, and every time I did, literally nothing came through. I just couldn’t. Nothing.

Even now, it took a lot more than usual for me to write this, lol. It’s still winter.

Many struggle with this time of year, and want to feel like they do in the summer, when it’s winter.

Winter is a time of Yin Energy, the Feminine, Stillness. Which for many is super uncomfortable.

It’s as though we need permission to slow down.

Perhaps in knowing that this time, and everything that comes with it, is temporary. So we can allow it to be, and allow ourselves to just be. 💕

A favourite saying of mine is the only thing that is permanent is impermanence.

Trust me, it doesn’t always happen for me, but it’s a muscle I’m exercising.

During this season that encourages internal focus I invite you to take pause, and maybe ask yourself…

How am I really feeling?

What am I feeling?

Where in my body am I feeling it?

What do I need to support my body, mind, soul right now?

And then listen. 

Today, Feb 1st, is Imbolc, for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere.

A Gaelic tradition and Pagan holiday representing the half way point between Winter and Spring Solstice.

It’s a turning point, where we start to prepare for Spring time! Yay! There is more light, and lightness.

You may notice a subtle shift energetically, I know I do.

This year, I am intentionally operating my business around the energies of the moon, and I’m kinda excited about it.

I’ve been dipping my toe into this for the last couple of years, trying to be mindful when planning (which was often hit or miss), and through ceremony and moon circles.

This year, I’m committing to myself to make it a priority.

And interestingly, astrologically, my moon is in my first house on my Natal Chart. This means I’m meant to fully integrate and embody it into my identity!

One way you’ll experience this is through my monthly newsletter. It will be sent a couple days before the Full Moon. (if you’re not signed up already you can do that HERE)

The time leading up to the Full Moon is one of expansion, full of energy and a perfect time for productivity.

Side note: I’ve had my chart read a couple times in the past, and honestly felt confused at the end. Astrology can be confusing. However, after my most recent reading with Jen I can say I feel like I understand my chart, and myself a lot more.
